Willamette Announces 2018 Women's Soccer Schedule

SALEM, Ore. -- The Willamette women's soccer schedule for the 2018 season has been released by Head Coach Hillary Arthur. The Bearcats will play 12 of 20 regular season games at home, including the first five games. Willamette will play exhibition games against Corban University and the Willamette Alumni at home in August, giving the Bearcats a total of seven consecutive games at the soon-to-be renovated Sparks Field before the team goes on the road. The Bearcats will play nine of their first 10 regular season contests at home.

Willamette's crosstown exhibition with Corban is set for Saturday, Aug. 25 at Sparks Field. The Bearcats will play the Alumni on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 12 p.m. (PDT). The game will be played as part of a doubleheader ending with the Willamette men's soccer team taking on the Alumni at 2 p.m.

Regular season action begins on Friday, Aug. 31 with a home game against Fontbonne University (Mo.). Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. (PDT). Also over the Labor Day Weekend, the Bearcats will host Northwest Christian University (Ore.) on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m.

The following week includes home games versus Warner Pacific University (Ore.) and Chapman College (Calif.). The Bearcats will take on Warner Pacific on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. (PDT) and will play Chapman on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 12 p.m.

Willamette will open Northwest Conference action versus archrival Linfield College in a home game on Wednesday, Sept. 12. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. (PDT). The Bearcats will play at Lewis & Clark College on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 12 p.m. in the first road game of the season.

The next four games will be played at Sparks Field. On Saturday, Sept. 22, the Bearcats will host University of Puget Sound. On Sunday, Sept. 23, WU will battle George Fox University. The following weekend, Willamette will take on Whitworth University on Saturday, Sept. 29, before facing Whitman College on Sunday, Sept. 30. All four games will start at 12 p.m. (PDT).

Up next is a game at Pacific Lutheran University on Saturday, Oct. 6, followed by a home game versus Pacific University on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 12 p.m. (PDT). The Bearcats will play against Linfield in McMinnville, Oregon, on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m., before hosting Lewis & Clark on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 12 p.m. The game against the Pioneers will be part of Willamette's Homecoming/Family Weekend.

After taking on L&C at home, Willamette will play four consecutive road games. WU is set to play at Puget Sound on Saturday, Sept. 20, followed by games at George Fox on Sunday, Sept. 21, Whitworth on Saturday, Sept. 27 and Whitman on Sunday, Sept. 28.

The Bearcats will take on Pacific Lutheran in the Senior Day game at Sparks Field on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. (PDT). Willamette will conclude the regular season by playing at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. (PST).
