Bio

Mason Fox, ATC, LAT, is the newest member of the Willamette University sports medicine team, serving as an assistant athletic trainer.

Fox graduated from the University of La Verne with a B.S. in Kinesiology, with a focus on health and human performance, with a minor in psychology in 2020. While pursuing his bachelor’s degree, Fox also was a member of the University of La Verne Men’s Water Polo team, serving as team captain his senior year, earning the Leo award his senior year for leadership. After serving as a physical therapy aide for 3 years, Fox then pursued a career in athletic training, completing his MATrn at Oregon State University in the Spring of 2025.

During his time at Oregon State, Fox had the opportunity to work with Men’s Wrestling, Women’s Volleyball, Football, Baseball, and Men’s Basketball. His capstone project for his Master’s degree was “An Athletic Trainer’s Guide to the Recognition and Treatment of Relative Energy Deficiency in Male Wrestlers”, which helped foster a passion for the nutritional and mental healthcare of student-athletes.

When he’s not working with Bearcat athletes, Mason enjoys cooking and baking, going to the beach with his wife Jessica and his dog Gimli, and playing video games.
