SALEM, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference baseball series between Willamette University and Pacific University, set for Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26, will not be played at John Lewis Field as originally scheduled due to wet field conditions.
The Bearcats and the Boxers will play the first two games of the series at Santiam Christian School in Adair Village, Oregon, on Saturday with games at 11 a.m. (PST) and 2 p.m. The final game of the three-game series will be played at Roy Helser Field on the Linfield College campus in McMinnville, Oregon, on Sunday at 4 p.m.
Willamette is currently 6-4 on the season, including 2-1 in the NWC. The Bearcats won the final two games of their NWC series against Linfield at Roy Helser Field this past weekend. Linfield took the first game of the series, 6-2, but the Bearcats completed the weekend with 4-3 and 10-4 victories.
Pacific enters the weekend with a 7-2 overall record and a 2-1 record in the NWC. The Boxers won two of three NWC games against Whitman College last weekend, and also defeated the Blues in a non-conference game.
