SALEM, ORE. -- Sam Walters (Jr., Wing, Tacoma, WA/Stadium HS) from the Willamette University men's basketball team has been named to the 2012-13 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court for his academic success as a student-athlete.
SALEM, ORE. -- After enduring a difficult men's basketball schedule in 2012-13, the Willamette University Bearcats have been given the task of replacing a senior class that produced five of the team's top seven scorers this past season. Head Coach Kip Ioane has taken the first step in that succession, announcing the incoming recruiting class of 2013-14.

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University senior guard Terrell Malley (Portland, OR/Roosevelt HS), who has excited Bearcats fans by making quick drives to the basket and by swishing 3-point shots for the last four seasons, has been named Honorable Mention All-Northwest Conference for the 2012-13 season. It is the second year in a row that Malley has earned Honorable Mention All-NWC recognition.
SALEM, ORE. -- Senior guard Terrell Malley (Portland, OR/Roosevelt HS) scored 31 points in his final basketball game for Willamette University, but nationally ranked Whitworth University placed all five starters in double figures to defeat the Bearcats, 86-67, on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Cone Field House. Whitworth, ranked #12 in the D3hoops.com Top 25, improved to 22-3 overall, 14-2 in the NWC.
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University battled with the high-scoring Whitman College men's basketball team on Friday, Feb. 15 at Cone Field House, but the Missionaries hit 24 of 37 free throws and placed four players in double figures to defeat the Bearcats, 82-68. Josh Duckworth provided the Missionaries with 25 points, while hitting 9 of 14 field goals.
PORTLAND, ORE. -- Lewis & Clark College went on a backbreaking 16-3 first half run, then held off every Willamette University attempt to get back in the game, notching a 74-57 victory in a Northwest Conference men's basketball game at the Pamplin Sports Center on Saturday, Feb. 9.
