Bearcats Set to Compete at D3hoops.com Classic in Las Vegas

SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University men's basketball team will compete in the 2014 D3hoops.com Classic on Dec. 29 and Dec. 30 in Las Vegas, Nev. The Bearcats will take on Wisconsin Lutheran College on Dec. 29 and will play Colorado College on Dec. 30. Both games are slated to start at 4 p.m. (PST).

Brandon Luedtke (Jr., F, Meridian, ID/Mt. View HS) leads the Bearcats with 15.1 points per game. He ranks first in the Northwest Conference with 10.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game.

Brendon McCullough (Fr., G, San Antonio, TX/Home Schooled) has contributed 11.3 points per game for the Bearcats. He leads the team with 2.9 assists per contest. Nico Troplent (Fr., Wing, Los Angeles, CA/Cathedral HS) has scored 9.4 points per game.

McCullough and Troplent has excelled at the free throw line. McCullough has made 32 of 41 free throws (78.0%), while Troplent has connected on 12 of 15 free throws (80.0%).

Willamette enters the D3hoops.com Classic with a 2-5 record. Wisconsin Lutheran is 5-6 on the season, while Colorado College is 4-4.
