CLAREMONT, Calif. — Willamette fell to UC Santa Cruz 87-61 on a neutral court at Roberts Pavilion. Willamette struggled with shooting, hitting just 26.3% from the field and 19.4% from three-point range. Despite forcing 22 turnovers and securing 14 steals, the Bearcats' efforts were outmatched by UC Santa Cruz's 52-point second half, which solidified their victory.
Willamette faced a challenging first half, trailing 35-27 to UC Santa Cruz.
