Three Bearcats Named to NABC Honors Court
Men’s Basketball Team Earns NABC Team Academic Award
SALEM, Ore. — The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced the recipients of the 2025-26 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and the NABC Honors Court. The awards celebrate academic achievement by men's college basketball programs and individual student-athletes across all collegiate divisions.
The Willamette University men's basketball team received the Team Academic Excellence Award, which recognizes programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Individually, three Bearcats earned spots on the NABC Honors Court. To qualify for the Honors Court, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student varsity player and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the academic year.
According to the official national listings in 7-17-26 Academic Awards Release 2026.docx, the following Willamette student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 NABC Honors Court:
- Nick Hardin – Graduate Student, MBA
- Aadem Isal – Computer Science & Data Science
- Anujan Tennathur – Junior, Computer Science & Data Science
Nationally, more than 2,300 players earned Honors Court selection and over 400 collegiate programs received the Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2025-26 academic year.
