Men's golf team earns GCAA President's Special Recognition
NORMAN, Okla. — The Willamette University Men's Golf team was named a 2024-25 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
The GCAA awards an Academic National Champion to the team in each division with the highest GPA. Teams are named to the President's Special Recognition for GPAs over 3.5 and All-Academic for GPAs over 3.0.
The men had a GPA of 3.55 for the year, earning them a spot on the President's Special Recognition list with 24 other NCAA DIII institutions.
A GCAA-record 292 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award. 129 schools received Presidents Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above.
