Willamette tied for second at St Johns
ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Willamette secured a tie for second place at the 2025 Saint John's Fall Invitational, concluding the first round with a team score of 291 (+3) and recording an even-par team score of 288 in round 2. Freshman Michael Baldwin led the Bearcats with standout performances, carding a 73 (+1) in the first round and following it up with a remarkable 68 (-4) in the second round to finish fourth individually overall.
Baldwin's consistent play was crucial for Willamette, as he finished 4th at the Saint John's Fall Invitational with the lowest score on his team. Senior Oliver Smith also made a significant contribution, posting an even-par round of 72 in the first round and a score of 73 (+1) in the second round, tying for 10th place overall. Brock Olson and AJ Papajohn rounded out the team's strong showing, with Olson scoring a 72 in round one and a 74 (+2) in round two, while Papajohn tied for 20th with a round of 74 (+2). Their collective efforts were pivotal in Willamette achieving a tie for second place in the team standings.
