Bearcats win Pacific Invitational
NORTH PLAINS, Ore. — Willamette University secured a narrow victory at the Pacific Invitational, finishing with a team score of 562 (-6). AJ Papajohn led the charge for the Bearcats, tying for second place individually with a total of 138 (-4) over two rounds.
Papajohn opened the tournament with an impressive 67 (-4) in the first round and maintained his performance with a 71 (E) in the second round. Brock Olson also contributed significantly to the team's victory, tying for fourth place with a final score of 140 (-2). Olson scored 69 (-2) in the first round and 71 (E) in the second round. Oliver Smith matched Olson's overall score, consistently shooting 70 (-1) in both rounds. These performances were pivotal in securing the Bearcats' top finish at the event.
