Men's Golf Takes NWC Fall Classic Title
LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. — The Willamette University men's golf team captured the title at the Northwest Conference (NWC) Fall Classic, edging out Whitman College by a nine-stroke margin. The Bearcats finished the tournament with a total team score of 581.
Willamette was powered by strong individual performances from senior Brock Olson and sophomore Michael Baldwin, who finished second and third overall, respectively.
Olson led the way for the Bearcats, posting a final two-round score of 141 (-1). His phenomenal first round of 68 was followed by a solid 73 in the final round. Baldwin was right on his teammate's heels, carding a score of 143 (+1) for the tournament.
The team received significant support from the rest of the lineup:

AJ Papajohn tied for 7th place individually, shooting a 147 (+5).

Oliver Smith finished the tournament at +6.

Jack Carr rounded out the Bearcat lineup at +8.
The victory marks the end of the fall season. The Bearcats will be back in action in March when they host the Willamette Valley Cup at Creekside GC.
