Bearcats NWC Champions

NORTH PLAINS, Ore. — Willamette University secured first place at the NWC Championship with a team score of 560 (-8) over two rounds at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. With the win, the Beacats secure the Northwest Conference Championship and the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Championship.  Senior Brock Olson tied for first individually, delivering rounds of 68 (-3) and 69 (-2) to lead his team to victory.

Brock Olson led the Bearcats with a remarkable performance, finishing tied for first with a total score of 137 (-5). The senior demonstrated consistency with rounds of 68 (-3) and 69 (-2). Junior Alexander "AJ" Papajohn secured third place, carding a final score of 139 (-3) after rounds of 69 (-2) and 70 (-1). Freshman Michael Baldwin followed closely in fourth, finishing with a score of 140 (-2), including a 69 (-2) in the first round and an even-par 71 in the second. Senior Oliver Smith concluded the tournament in ninth place, posting rounds of 72 (+1) on both days for a total of 144 (+2).
