NEWBERG, Ore. — The Willamette University soccer team and George Fox University played to a 1-1 draw on Friday at Austin Sports Complex. Willamette equalized in the second half after George Fox took an early lead in the first. Both teams recorded 14 fouls, and Willamette's goalkeeper made five saves to secure the tie.
Mikkel Jensen made five saves in goal, facing 15 shots and conceding just one. Ky Iliev scored one goal on two shots, both of which were on target. Dylan Ray contributed with an assist, adding to the team's offensive efforts.
Willamette holds a record of 0-3-2 overall and 0-0-1 in conference play. George Fox stands at 2-1-2 overall, also recording a 0-0-1 conference mark.
