Bearcats Dazzle Opponents at Portland Twilight
Nivala 2nd in 400m Hurdles, Crandall in 1st
PORTLAND, Ore. — The Bearcats raced at Portland Twilight to continue their postseason competition, hosted by Lewis & Clark College.
In the 800m, Tim McMahon took 25th overall with a time of 1:55.16 minutes, while Liam Bergevin placed 49th. The 400m saw freshman Major LeProwse cross the finish in 50.86 seconds to secure first. Myles Crandall raced for a second time this week in the 400m Hurdles, this time joined by Matthew Nivala. Crandall once again took first, while Nivala followed closely in second. In the 1500m, Jay Chew placed 31st overall with a time of 4:06.99 minutes. The last Bearcat runner was Adam Lewis, who competed in the 3000m Steeplechase, in which he took eighth place.
The Bearcats compete next at the George Fox Final Qualifiers, with multi competition on May 13 and other events on May 14. It will take place in Newberg, Oregon.
