Bearcats finish 6th at PLU
TACOMA, Wash.—The Willamette University men's cross country team ran a strong race at the PLU Invitational, earning a respectable sixth-place team finish with a score of 161. The squad's effort was spearheaded by Thomas Bernadicou, who delivered a standout performance to place seventh overall with a time of 25:47.8. George Fox University claimed the top spot with a score of 53.
The Bearcats' scoring runners supported Bernadicou's effort with a tight-knit performance. Jay Chew was the second Bearcat across the line, finishing 29th with a time of 26:42.5. Adam Lewis placed 46th at 27:25.1, while Austen Grabbe came in 56th at 27:49.6. Rounding out the scoring for Willamette were Sage Soto (84th, 28:36.7) and Noah Lutz (121st, 30:06.3). The team's focused performance demonstrates their potential as they continue to build momentum for the remainder of the season.
