Willamette Softball Team Announces Changes to Schedule
SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University softball team has added several games to its schedule. The Bearcats will play one exhibition game against Southwestern Oregon Community College on Friday, March 20, before playing three road games against Northwest Nazarene University and one road game versus College of Idaho next week.
Bearcats to Host SW Oregon CC in Exhibition, Will Play Four Games in Idaho
SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University softball team has added several games to its schedule. The Bearcats will play one exhibition game against Southwestern Oregon Community College on Friday, March 20, before playing three road games against Northwest Nazarene University and one road game versus College of Idaho next week.
Willamette's exhibition against SW Oregon will start at 5 p.m. (PDT) at the WU Softball Field. The game will not count on Willamette's win-loss record and there will be no multimedia coverage of the game.
All four games next week will be regular season games played at NNU's home field in Nampa, Idaho. On Tuesday, March 24, the Bearcats will play Northwest Nazarene at 12 p.m. (MDT)/11 a.m. (PDT), before taking on College of Idaho at 2 p.m. (MDT)/1 p.m. (PDT). On Wednesday, March 25, Willamette and Northwest Nazarene will compete in a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m. (MDT)/11 a.m. (PDT).
Willamette is 3-13 overall and 3-7 in the Northwest Conference. The Bearcats will return to NWC action on Saturday, March 28, when they will host George Fox University in a doubleheader at the WU Softball Field. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. (PDT).
Amanda Absher is one of six seniors on the Willamette softball team. She has played in 83 games during her career.
