Faulhaber is Chosen NWC Men's Field Student-Athlete of the Week
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University track and field athlete Max Faulhaber (Eugene, OR/Sheldon HS) has been selected as the Northwest Conference Men's Field Student-Athlete of the Week for his efforts at the Lane Preview on Friday, March 9.
Wins Hammer Throw at Lane Preview
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University track and field athlete Max Faulhaber (Eugene, OR/Sheldon HS) has been selected as the Northwest Conference Men's Field Student-Athlete of the Week for his efforts at the Lane Preview on Friday, March 9.
Faulhaber, competing in his hometown of Eugene, Ore., won the men's hammer throw at the Lane Preview with a top distance of 157' 9". He led a 1-2 finish for the Bearcats in the hammer, as teammate Wyatt Briggs (Jr., Scio, OR/Scio HS) took second place at 144' 5".
Faulhaber achieved his first place finish with the longest throw in a field of 12 competitors.
Willamette will return to action on Thursday, March 15 in a dual meet with crosstown rival Corban University. The meet is scheduled to start at 3:45 p.m. (PDT) at Charles Bowles Track.
