Thirteen Bearcats Earn All-NWC Recognition in Track and Field
SALEM, ORE. -- A total of 13 athletes on the Willamette University track and field teams have been named All-Northwest Conference for their efforts during the 2015 NWC Track and Field Championships on April 24-25 at George Fox University.
Eight Women and Five Men Combine for 20 Total Awards
SALEM, ORE. -- A total of 13 athletes on the Willamette University track and field teams have been named All-Northwest Conference for their efforts during the 2015 NWC Track and Field Championships on April 24-25 at George Fox University.
Track and field student-athletes earn All-NWC recognition by placing in the top three of an individual event or by participating on a relay team that finishes in the top three.The Bearcats achieved 20 total awards, with six Willamette student-athletes capturing honorsin multiple events.

Taylor Ostrander earned All-NWC honors in three events by winning the 5,000-meter run and placing second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the 10,000-meter run.
Daniel Swanson and Yonny Castillo received All-NWC recognition in three events between them, with Swanson placing first in the 1,500-meter run and Castillo recording two second place finishes in the 5,000 and 10,000-meter runs.
