Thornton returns as a sophpomore hurdler for the Bearcats in 2022 ... Competing in primarily the jumps and hirdles, placed third at the 2021 NWC Championshps in the 400 hurdles with a PR of 1:07.17 and recorded a PR of 15' 3.75" in the long jump to claim fifth ... Named United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-West Region and received All-NWC honors in 2021 ... Competed in track and field at Reno High School in Nevada ... Took first place and was named All-League in the 300-meter hurdles ... Placed 4th at the Regional meet ... Also reached the Regional finals in the high jump, 4 x 100-meter relay, and the 4 x 400-meter relay ... Also played volleyball in high school ... Was a team captain in volleyball ... Secretary of the FBLA ... Is undecided regarding her major.
