SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University women's basketball player Molly Fillion (Sr., F, Silverton, OR/Silverton HS/Linn-Benton CC) has been named First Team All-West Region by D3Hoops.com. The All-West Region squad was selected in voting by Sports Information Directors throughout the Region.
SALEM, ORE. -- Molly Fillion (Sr., G, Silverton, OR/Silverton HS/Linn-Benton CC) has been named First Team All-Northwest Conference in women's basketball, as selected by the NWC's head coaches. Fillion led the NWC in scoring and rebounding. She averaged 14.0 points and 10.2 boards per game.
SALEM, ORE. -- Jocelyn Riordan scored 16 points to lead the University of Puget Sound to a 70-50 victory over Willamette University at Cone Field House on Saturday, Feb. 21. Puget Sound concluded the regular season with a 17-8 overall record, 11-5 in the Northwest Conference. Willamette finished its season at 4-18, 3-13 in the NWC.
NEWBERG, ORE. -- Willamette University gave #2-ranked George Fox University a strong battle on Friday, Feb. 20, before falling to the Bruins, 67-55, in a Northwest Conference game at the Wheeler Sports Center. George Fox remained undefeated at 24-0 overall, 15-0 in the NWC. Willamette moved to 4-17 overall, 3-12 in the conference.
SALEM, ORE. -- Lewis & Clark College held Willamette University to 25.8% shooting in the second half (8 of 31), as the Pioneers defeated the Bearcats, 68-59, on Saturday, Feb. 14 at Cone Field House. L&C improved to 11-12 overall and to 5-9 in the Northwest Conference. Willamette fell to 4-16 overall, 3-11 in the NWC.

WALLA WALLA, WASH. -- Whitman College surged out to a 43-23 halftime lead on its way to defeating Willamette University, 86-52, in a Northwest Conference women's basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 7. The loss ended Willamette's three-game winning streak that featured conference victories over Linfield College, Pacific Lutheran University and Whitworth University.

TACOMA, WASH. -- Claire Ely scored 17 points and Natasha Ludwig led all players with 17 rebounds, leading the University of Puget Sound past Willamette University, 71-57, in Northwest Conference action on Saturday, Jan. 24. The Loggers upped their record to 11-6 overall, 5-3 in the NWC. Willamette fell to 1-13 on the season, 0-8 in the NWC.

The Bruins remained undefeated at 16-0, while improving to 7-0 in the Northwest Conference. Willamette dropped to 1-12 on the season, 0-7 in the NWC.

L&C improved to 8-7 on the season, 2-4 in the NWC. The Bearcats fell to 1-11 overall, 0-6 in the NWC.
FOREST GROVE, ORE. -- Rochelle Reeves scored 23 points and Julianne Erbe provided 20 points to lead Pacific University to an 84-59 victory over visiting Willamette University, in a Northwest Conference game at Pacific Athletic Center on Friday, Jan. 16. Pacific improved to 3-10 overall, 2-3 in the NWC, while Willamette dropped to 1-10 overall, 0-5 in the NWC.
SALEM, ORE. -- Two players have been added to the Willamette University women's basketball roster and will be in uniform this weekend for games at Pacific University (Friday, Jan. 16) and Lewis & Clark College (Saturday, Jan. 17). One player is returning to Willamette and the other has arrived at Willamette for the first time.
