Bearcats beat Southwestern Oregon in exhibition

SALEM, Ore. – The Willamette University Bearcats women's swim team secured a narrow victory against Southwestern Oregon Community College on Friday, October 24, 2025, with a final team score of 126 to 114.

The meet, held at Willamette University, featured several strong individual performances that contributed to the Bearcats' overall success.

Jillian Price (19) led the way for Willamette, earning two critical first-place finishes in distance and backstroke events:

• 200 Yard Freestyle: 2:02.66

• 100 Yard Backstroke: 1:05.20

Tessa Ciatti (20) was dominant in the butterfly events, taking first in both the 50 and 100 Yard Butterfly:

• 50 Yard Butterfly: 27.52

• 100 Yard Butterfly: 1:03.34

Other Willamette swimmers who secured top-three finishes include:

• Emma Noffsinger (21): Second in the 50 Yard Freestyle (27.51), third in the 500 Yard Freestyle (5:58.51), and third in the 50 Yard Backstroke (32.41).

• Kate Shower (19): Third in the 50 Yard Freestyle (27.64) and third in the 100 Yard Freestyle (1:02.28).

• Hanna Vornbrock (18): Second in the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:16.96) and third in the 100 Yard IM (1:10.82).

• Priyanka Costanzo (18): Second in the 100 Yard Freestyle (1:01.42).

• Emma Schauble (20): Second in the 50 Yard Backstroke (32.07) and second in the 100 Yard Backstroke (1:09.77).

Willamette University's 'A' team earned a victory in the Women's 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 2:01.42, featuring Emma Noffsinger, Hanna Vornbrock, Tessa Ciatti, and Kate Shower.
