Stellar Bearcat Performances at PNW Invite
Four Bearcats competed against tough competition
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Four Bearcats traveled to Oregon State University to compete in the PNW Invitational, which took place March 20-21.
Whitley Stepp competed in High Jump during the first day of competition. She successfully cleared the 1.56 meters bar, taking seventh place overall.
In the second day of competition, Mashani Coleman Toliver was the first to run, in the 100m Hurdles. With a time of 15.78 seconds, she took seventh in her heat (out of nine) and fourteenth overall. In the 100m, the remaining two Bearcats Lavender Bel and Wendy Brannon shared the fourth heat. Bel shot past her competitiors, landing first in the heat and eighth overall in 12.39 seconds, a new personal best. Brannon took eighth in the heat and 35th overall.
The next competition for all the Bearcats is March 28, when they host the Willamette Invitational at the Charles Bowles Track, beginning at 9 am.
