PARKLAND, Wash. — Pacific Lutheran swept Willamette University 25-23, 25-20, 25-18 on Thursday at Olson Auditorium. Despite the loss, the Bearcats recorded 61 digs and achieved five service aces. Pacific Lutheran's performance included nine service aces, contributing to their decisive victory.
Dream Takemoto led the team's defensive efforts with 16 digs, providing stability in the backcourt. Emalia Freitas was efficient on the attack, recording nine kills with a .471 hitting percentage. Leina Chu facilitated the offense by posting 21 assists, adding structure to the team's plays. Chelsea Velez achieved a perfect hitting percentage with one kill on one attempt, contributing to the team's overall performance.
