SALEM, Ore. — Willamette University defeated Linfield University 3-1 (18-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-19) on Tuesday at Cone Field House. After dropping the first set, the Bearcats rallied to win the next three, led by a balanced attack that produced 48 kills and six service aces. The Bearcats' defense also stood out, recording 71 digs to stifle Linfield's offensive efforts.
Katey Cramer led the team with 16 kills on 46 attempts, contributing significantly to the offensive effort. Leina Chu directed the play effectively, recording 38 assists over four games. Dream Takemoto anchored the defense with 27 digs, showcasing strong consistency in the back row. Lexie Scott matched Cramer with 16 kills, achieving a .353 hitting percentage on 34 swings.
Willamette holds a record of 10-11 overall and 8-6 in the Northwest Conference. Linfield stands at 7-10 overall with a 5-7 record in the conference.
