Enters his senior year with the Bearcats ... Placed 13th overall in the men's 1,650-yard freestyle at the 2015 Northwest Conference Championships and took 9th place in the same event as a freshman in 2014 ... Took 15th in the 500-yard freestyle ... Also competed in the 800-yard freestyle relay in which the Willamette men finished fifth in 2015, and was a member of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished 5th in 2014 ... Competed in 100, 200, 500, and 1650 Freestyle at the NWC Championship in 2016 ... Improved in every event from his junior season including a 68 second decrease in his 1650 freestyle event ... Ranks 4th on Willamette's all time Swim records for his 16:49.58 1,650 Freestyle in 2016 ... Swam all four years at Westlake High School ... Also participated in water polo and cross country ... Two-time Academic Athlete in high school ... Majoring in Physics with a minor in Mathematics at Willamette ... Son of Landell and Lynne Merrill.
