NEW ORLEANS, LA. -- Five Willamette University track and field athletes have been chosen for the 2012-13 NCAA Division III All-Academic Teams as selected by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Michaela Freeby (So. Milwaukie, OR/Rex Putnam HS) of WU improved to #4 on the national list in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal record time of 10:37.91.
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University athlete Carson Kennedy (So., Forest Grove, OR/Forest Grove HS) completed the decathlon with a personal record score of 6,283 points as the West Coast Invitational multi-event competition ended on Friday, May 10. Kennedy moved into ninth on the NCAA Division III performance list.
