NEW ORLEANS, LA. -- Five Willamette University track and field athletes have been chosen for the 2012-13 NCAA Division III All-Academic Teams as selected by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Student-athletes received the award by combining academic and athletic success.

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University junior Kit Kingstad (Beaverton, OR/Beaverton HS) registered a personal record time of 3:48.53 in the men's 1,500-meter run at the West Coast Invitational on Saturday, May 11 to improve from #31 to #2 on the NCAA Division III performance list. Michaela Freeby (So. Milwaukie, OR/Rex Putnam HS) of WU improved to #4 on the national list in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal record time of 10:37.91.
